Less is more in the design industry – that is, unless we discuss the charity of Poss Architecture + Planning and Interior Design. The firm’s emphasis on community service points to Bill’s early days in New York as a designer of low-income housing and urban renewal projects. More recently, he served as The Aspen Historical Preservation Committee Chairman for almost 10 years. And so the firm aims to preserve the environment, care for its inhabitants, and prompt those around him to act in kind. Youth, education, and art are central to the Poss program for community outreach. Staff and leadership are actively engaged in giving back to the community, both near and far. Here are some of the organizations that regularly receive aid and outreach from Poss include: The Roaring Fork River Conservancy, The Buddy Program, Aspen Community Foundation, Habitat for Humanity, the Art Base, Basalt Education Foundation, Roaring Fork Leadership, Shining Star Foundation, and the Home Health Care and Hospice of the Valley – of which our founder, Bill Poss, is a Board Member.
